Merchant Accounts: Licensing and Changes

This article is a part of the  Payment Processing Software / Credit Card Software Knowledge Base.

Q. I am a merchant account provider/bank representative and I need to setup a new end-user with my account on 911 Software CreditLine Payment Processing Software. What should I do?

A. We are a wholesaler and all end-user support and licensing is provided by our dealers. Please have your client identify their dealer by going to this link:  http://www.911software.com/Dealers.htm. Please work with our dealer and your client to accomplish your task.

 Q. I am a merchant account provider/bank representative and I need to change the merchant account setup for the existing end-user on 911 Software CreditLine Payment Processing Software. What should I do?

A. We are a wholesaler and all end-user support and licensing is provided by our dealers. Please have your client identify their dealer by going to this link:  http://www.911software.com/Dealers.htm. Please work with our dealer and your client to accomplish your task.

 Q. I have downloaded your software and can set it up myself. Why do I need your dealer? Is there a fee for this service? Can this be done for free?

Q. I have changed the merchant account info and now my license is invalidated. What is going on?

A. The CreditLine license is attached to the merchant account. A new account or a change to the already existing account will require a new license. A merchant account change (we call it a SWITCH) carries a discounted fee.  The reason for the switch fee is that we do NOT charge for maintanence, support, upgrades, API toolkits or have any recurrent monthly or yearly fees. Since we do not nickel and dime our customers throughout the year or receive kickbacks from the processor, the switch fees ensure our ability to continue providing good value and quality service. We feel that it is a fair practice, considering that every new account (regardless of it being new or old)  increases the average volume of our free 2nd line support, extended to the dealers.

Q. I want to become a new dealer. What do I need to do?

A. To avoid unnecessary competition in general we appoint only one dealer per supported Point of Sale system.  You can only become a dealer if you represent or introduce us to a Point Of Sale system that we do not yet support (in which case you can either become a dealer or receive a yearly commission). For dealer qualifications and procedures, please see our Licensing Guide
