Transmission Failed Errors

Payment Processing Software  Credit Card Software Q&A

Q. I am getting Transmission Failed errors now, BUT the credit card software system used to work fine and NO changes were made to the hardware or software.

A. To debug, try opening a known working web site, such as http://google.com on the server. CreditLine uses the same internet connection. If you can, the most likely cause is the processor being temporarily offline.  Call the Processor PC Support to discuss the issue.

Q. I am getting Transmission Failed errors, AND the system NEVER worked, it's a new install.

  or

Q. We just installed a new firewall, router or internet security software and the software stopped working.

A. To debug, try opening a known working web site, such as http://google.com on the server. CreditLine uses the same internet connection. If the site opens fine, try disabling the software firewall (Windows and any third party), as well as any hardware firewall present to see if that is the cause of the problem.

Certain ports have to be open for both incoming and outgoing traffic - see Processor Setup Guides for more info. Keep in mind that for SSL protocols, the system has to contact SSL authority IP addresses, so blocking those can also create problems.
